Back Story

During the holidays in 2004 I saw a program about a gingerbread house competition. It intrigued me in the capacity of architectural modeling. I decided to give it a try myself. It was a way to experiment with baking without having to worry about if it tasted good (or was prepared under sanitary conditions), and a way to surprise my friend who wouldn't think in a million years I would get involved in something like that.

To get my feet wet I created a very modest little house. It worked out pretty well, but the creation wasn't much to look at, and there wasn't much point in keeping it around. I wasn't sure what to do with it, so my first thought was to get out the video camera and destroy it in dramatic fashion. So I just put on my camo pants and army boots and stomped on it.
